Empowering English Language Learners
_In our CLE2 Advanced English II class, we're concluding the year with a International Communication Expo on Monday, February 13th at 11:30 a.m. As it's lunch time, we hope you can stop by. Students have been working hard on posters and skits (which will be shown as a movie and animation) to inform us about a foreign country and their unique cultural points and business etiquette. This has been part of a bigger discussion on global engineering, and what it means to be a global engineer, someone who has the unique skills to communicate cross-culturally to solve engineering challenges. Students have posted their ideas of what it means to be a global engineer in the KTC News section of this blog.
At the Expo, students will be available to present their posters, share what they've learned about the country they researched and answer your questions about the country. We will also show a movie of a cross-cultural skit and an animation discussing the unique and little known country of Liechtenstein! International snacks, tea and coffee will be served. We hope you can join us!
